We are a Hereford, Polled Hereford and Angus seedstock provider located in west central Saskatchewan near Maidstone. The Hereford component of the cowherd initiated in 1967 and the farm spans 4 generations with Lance & Shari Leachman being the current operators. The cowherd summer grazes on a combination of tame and native grass. Winter feeding consists of hay, corn grazing and greenfeed. The cowherd combines visual distinction, maternal stength and genetic progression. Visually, the herd is selected for correctness of structure, moderate frame, muscle, center body dimension, udder quality and performance. Geneticall-whole herd genomic enhanced EPD’s, carcass ultrasound, utilization of AI/ET and 11 trait performance recording contributes to breeding value advancement. The farm hosts an annual bull sale the second Thursday of December that includes, yearling and two-year old bulls, along with a group of registered cows bred to Angus bulls for commercial use.
