Rocking S Ranch is the partnership of Shawn and Patricia Smith. We ranch near Nokomis, Saskatchewan and raise Purebred Red and Black Angus and purebred Suffolk sheep. The traits we focus on in our beef herd and sheep flock are moderate frame, easy fleshing, highly efficient animals that are born easily and have high growth to weaning rates with moderate yearling weights and frame. We like our cattle and sheep to be deep-sided, with more bone and and a big foot under them. We sell our bulls and rams mostly by private treaty. Our sheep genetics are all UK (British) in type and we import semen from the UK to advance our genetic diversity. We have exhibited our cattle at the Commercial Cattle Show and Sale at CWA for many years with many pens winning their class or championships. On the sheep side, we have been grateful to receive many championships, including Premier Breeder and Get of Sire wins at CWA. We welcome guests to the ranch at anytime.
